In a remote car-free paradise, with the island of La Gomera in front and a dreamlike landscape all around is this small cheese factory of Teno Alto. It has been opened for little more than a decade but its trajectory has been in crescendo, even participating in regional contests and winning different prizes with its three simple products: fresh, cured and semi-cured cheese. Behind it all is Alexander, his young goatherd, a passionate entrepreneur who is synonymous with continuity and generational change for these highlands where goats and cheese have always been the mainstay of the region's economy.

★ It seems incredible that from such a hidden corner of the island can come out the Great Gold Medal of the Canary Islands: we are talking about "Inquieto", a cheese with a mouldy coating, creamy inside, with two months of maturation, finalist in the 2019 edition of AgroCanarias.
