Description

▪︎ Did you know that the Canary Islands is one of the three best places in the world for observing the sky along with Chile and Hawaii ? That is why the Teide Observatory, with its 50 hectares of surface and its solar telescopes and laboratories, is the largest observatory solar of the world.

▪︎ If you have always dreamed of being an astronomer, even if only for one day, you cannot miss the opportunity to visit the facilities of this imposing Observatory, the cradle of modern astrophysics since 1964 and home of two of the most important solar telescopes in the world..

▪︎ You will be able to look through the two solar telescopes and detect the spots and flares of the sun, explore the laboratories and visit the interior of a night telescope and learn how it works. You will also participate in an astrophysics workshop and you will learn about the projects being carried out by the "Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias". And of course... you will enjoy the beautiful views of Teide and its volcanic landscapes.

 Remember:
This Volcano Teide Experience activity can be done in different languages: Spanish, English, German, French or Russian, and it is free for children under 16 years. As we indicated in the introduction, there are two different sessions, one standard (which children under 8 years old cannot participate in) and the other "special for families" . Remember to mark your preferences when making the reservation.
