 ITINERARY >

MORNING
Start the day in the town of Buenavista del Norte, and if you haven't had breakfast stop at "El Aderno" and try our most typical pastries and freshly baked cakes. Head to the Charco de Los Chochos for a good morning dip. From here, if you wish, you can take the dirt path that runs along the entire coast and takes you in about 40 minutes walking to the Buenavista lighthouse, passing through other pools such as Don Gabino, La Araña and El Rayo. Keep in mind that it is about 6 km round trip, so you are the one who decides how far you want to go.

MIDDAY
•
Walking makes you hungry, so it's time to get going, get back in the car and follow the route to Garachico, undoubtedly the most famous and tourist town on the island. Before you sit to eat, we recommend that you stroll along the cobbled streets of the centre of town and enjoy what remains of the typical Canarian architecture. And now that is time to eat, try one of our two suggestions. The first one is El Drago, a small food house with a lot of character, to the point that they only open if they have fresh fish, and they practically only serve one star dish: "viejas guisadas en su caldo", (parrot fish boiled in its broth). This fish is a typical dish of our cuisine and our seas, but the way it is prepared is undoubtedly a house speciality. If you are looking for a more extensive menu but do not want to give up the pleasure of a good fish-based meal then you should go to Las Aguas, a restaurant that specialises above all in broth rice dishes.

AFTERNOON
•
After lunch, you'll probably want to relax and cool off, so let's suggest two more nice pools to spend the afternoon. One is the famous Charco del viento, which at low tide is ideal if you want to dive and go in search of a starfish. The other is the Charco de La Laja in the village of San Juan de la Rambla, perhaps smaller but more protected from the strong waves, a very special place to wait for the sunset.
