Since the 1940s, this market has remained a benchmark for the capital of Tenerife. Fresh and local products of good quality are sold at affordable prices. If you go with children you can spend time in the children's area on the first floor. It is usually crowded on weekends, especially from noon onwards, when the fish market on the ground floor starts cooking seafood and selling original fish dishes, such as shrimp carpaccio, charcoal-grilled octopus or tuna tartar with avocado.
