Discover the wildest and most natural side of the cliffs of Los Gigantes up to Teno Alto.
MORNING
• Start with a good breakfast, probably the most important meal of the day, as this route requires a lot of energy. If you prefer to have your coffee on the way, stop at "100% Pan y Pastelería" of Playa San Juan, where Alexis Garcia prepares the best doughs of the south of the island. After your dose of caffeine, head to Puerto Santiago to start exploring the Los Gigantes area. This is where you mark the intensity of the route: we recommend you rent a kayak and venture into the open sea in search of dolphins just off the cliffs. But if you prefer a less physical and more relaxed plan you can choose to get to know the hidden wonders of this coast, bathing in the Tancón cave and in the natural pools close to the area.

MIDDAY
• Whether you've been sailing the cliffs, or bathing in the pools, at one o'clock in the afternoon you can't help but feel like having some food. If you are hungry and you like grilled meat, at the entrance to Los Gigantes you will find Casa Edu, a Canarian restaurant with homemade dishes and relatively cheap prices. However, if you can wait, the alternative is to get going and visit Teno Alto, which should take you about an hour. In Terraza la Piñata, surrounded by the peace of nature, you will find some goat meat dishes and the best fresh cheese on the island.
AFTERNOON
• If you have stayed in the low area of Los Gigantes it is time to start climbing the road to Teno Alto, and curve after curve fall in love with the landscape. Stop in the little village of Masca to stretch your legs, breathe fresh air and enjoy the views of the ravine. After taking a selfie, go on until you reach Teno. Here you can enjoy the tranquility of this village, where rural life is still intact. If you feel like it, you can also walk around the local farms while indulging in the green face of Los Gigantes. One of the local jewels of the area is the cheese factory of Naturteno, where you can taste and buy the finest cheeses in the region.
